Training Format
This training begins with an immersive three-day weekend intensive, followed by two weeks of integration, observation, self-practice, practice teaching and continued mentorship.
The goal is not simply to learn the material over one weekend, but to have time to practice it, apply it, teach it and develop confidence using it.
NOVEMBER 6–8 | FRIDAY-SUNDAY
Weekend Intensive Training
The foundation of your training.
Over three immersive days, we’ll dive into Pilates principles and methodology, Mat repertoire, anatomy and movement mechanics, alignment, core engagement, breath, modifications and progressions, cueing, sequencing and teaching methodology.
The weekend combines education, movement, hands-on learning, self-practice and practice teaching so you begin applying what you learn immediately.
NOVEMBER 9–12 | MONDAY-FRIDAY
Integration + Practice
Take the material from the weekend and begin integrating it into your own body and teaching.
Complete designated hours through:
Self-Practice • Class Observation • Practice Teaching • Continued Study + Review
This gives you time to process the material, observe experienced instructors, practice cueing and begin developing your own teaching voice.
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 13 | 2–5 PM
Props + Equipment Training Workshop
(In person or via Zoom)
Learn how to thoughtfully incorporate props and equipment into a Mat Pilates class to create support, challenge, progression and variety.
We’ll explore how different tools can enhance exercises and movement patterns while learning when, why and how to incorporate them into intentional class programming.
NOVEMBER 14–19
Integration + Teaching Practice
Continue building experience and confidence through:
Self-Practice • Class Observation • Practice Teaching • Class Planning + Integration
During this week, the focus begins shifting from learning individual exercises to thinking like an instructor — choosing movements intentionally, creating transitions, practicing cueing and beginning to develop a complete class.
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 20 | 2–5 PM
Practice Teaching + Class Sequencing Workshop
(In person or via Zoom)
This is where everything begins to come together.
We’ll focus on how to build and prepare a complete Mat Pilates class from beginning to end, including:
Class sequencing • Exercise selection • Progressions + modifications • Transitions • Cueing • Pacing • Timing • Musicality • Playlist creation • Instructor presence
You’ll work on putting together and practicing a full class, learning how to create an experience that feels cohesive, intentional, challenging and true to your own teaching style.
MORE THAN A WEEKEND INTENSIVE
The intensive weekend gives you the foundation.
The following two weeks give you the opportunity to practice, observe, teach, integrate and refine what you’ve learned.
By combining immersive education with mentorship, observation hours, self-practice and real practice-teaching experience, the training is designed to help you move beyond simply knowing the exercises and begin developing the skills required to confidently lead a class.
WHO THIS TRAINING IS FOR
This training is designed for aspiring instructors, current fitness and yoga professionals, and anyone wanting to deepen their personal Pilates practice and understanding of movement.
No previous teaching experience is required. Previous Pilates or movement experience is highly recommended.
By the completion of the training and required integration hours, you’ll have the tools to confidently build and lead a thoughtful, challenging, full-body Mat Pilates class while developing your own authentic voice and teaching style.
